Fitness Festival in Stockholm
First weekend of December I had an amazing opportunity to attend the biggest Fitness Festival in whole Scandinavia hosted in Stockholm. On Friday, i went there by myself hoping to meet and talk to people that are passionate about the same thing as me - fitness! I was really excited and eager to explore the wilderness of the fitness world.
The first thing you could see when walked in, was this huge inflatable muscle mountain named Arnold - he intermediately made me smile.
That morning i was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of stages with different products, competitions, games and fit people! But not to worry, i had a plan! I had the list of the people i want to see and events to attend.
I've learnt a lot about new fitness supplements that are in the production, healthy protein snacks, like protein bars, protein coffee, ice cream, biscuits, there's so much! One of my favorite discoveries were protein coffee and completely organic vegan butters - pumpkin, peanut, almond, dates, cashew butters! This company focuses on organic nutrition, produces vitamins, supplements, teas and more! (Sadly most of my pictures from that day is on my camera, however, due to technical difficulties can't transfer them on my laptop for now and show you all these delicious products).
I spoke to quite a few people who were representing different companies and asked what do they do in the company and how do they like it. The best part about these answers was the huuuuge excitement and passion i could hear in their voices! I'm not sure if it was the free samples of pre-work out and protein bars or just pure joy of talking to people who were so inspirational or maybe both, but i was walking around all day for the whole 6 hours like i was floating on a cloud with the biggest smile on my face. And of course, grabbed as many goodie bag as possible, so i carried around tons of free protein powder sample, 4 shakers, protein puddings, discount cards, protein coffee. I was literally like a kid in a candy shop, only buzzed on pre-workout.
Anyway, the second day was a lot busier as it was Saturday, luckily i had my super supportive boyfriend next to me, so i dragged him around to see Martial arts stage, weight lifting championship and finally to meet the strongest man in the world - Zydrunas Savickas, who is Lithuanian as me! (Have a look at my grin below)
I had a great opportunity to act like a proper fan girl, so i took that opportunity
It was pretty impressive to see him on stage lifting a girl like there's no tomorrow. It seemed so effortless! Check it out below.
Next stop in my plan was to meet Samuel Ericsson - pro athlete, MMA fighter, social media influencer. I was so hyped to see him talk on the stage about his story, however, it was all in Swedish language, which i'm not great yet... Despite this little downer, i still caught him after his speech and managed to say hello and take a picture! Fan girl goals achieved for the day!
All in all, i had a blast, not only because i was high on free protein samples, but i had a chance to be around such inspirational people and see the fitness jungle with my own eyes!
Thanks for reading & keep on lifting!
